I’m not ashamed to say I’m a trainer snob, but it’s funny how perceptions change. If you had asked me 6 months ago, I would have flat out laughed if someone asked me if I would wear trainers to work. Now, I’m not talking about fashion trainers, I’m talking about gym trainers, the kind that make you look like you are always running about town.
Much to my bank accounts dismay, in the last 3 months I’ve become officially hooked on Nike Air Max trainers. Light, comfortable, and colourful, what’s not to love about them?
What I love about them most of all is how they can look quite rebellious when added to a formal outfit. The contrast of laid back athletic wear with sleek tailoring for a low luxe hybrid just feels like the future of fashion.
But this balance can be hard to master, you don’t want to look like one of those lazy people who wear gym trainers to and from the office, so select carefully.
So go on, rebel!
