For some reason I treat designer stores the way other people treat churches – no shorts, no sandals and no sass. But some days are made for shorts and when those days come along in London, you need to grasp them as quick as you can!
Having grown up in Australia in a city that’s known for its mile long beaches and 40 plus summers, it now feels weird describing a 22 degree day as shorts weather, but that’s what London does to you.
Wearing a pair of classic tailored Alexander McQueen shorts with a button up shirt for a morning of shopping at Dior, Prada and Celine, I felt like a lost soul looking for chic designs to take pity on me.
But maybe the best find of the day was after I trekked down a side street and stumbled upon this old brick wall with a weathered old door. It’s these little treasures that I love about this country, there is always new things to discover in and outside of a boutique.
