After learning the italian language as a child and being exposed to the wonders of the world, I developed an everlasting love for the decadent things in life. And even though I’ve forgotten most of my italian (except for Prada, Versace and Marni) I’ve remained in love for anything decadent over the top. And it seems these two go hand in hand, where else in the world is more decadent than Florence?
Known for its landscapes, artistic legacy and its influence on high culture, Florence is regarded as the birthplace of the Renaissance and home to many influential figures in the realms of arts and science, making the whole city a feast for the senses.
With its rich history and contrasting mix of extravagant buildings and dilapidated pastel houses, I’ve officially become obsessed with Tuscany and all it’s charms (especially the giant doors) while traveling around the region this summer. I simply couldn’t help but be inspired by the buildings, artwork and food of Italy and all its exuding decadence.
And although I am a little more of a minimalist when it comes to my fashion choices, I did try to exuded my own decadence through my outfit choices. Whether it was with colour, print or fabrication, my aim was to look every part of a Renaissance man While in 33 degree heat… Even if I was lacking the knowledge.
