While some people might find the concept irreverent and shocking, I might be a tad desensitized to it seeing as I’ve witnessed a friend of mine carrying a can of baked beans in her classic quilted Chanel bag – all very Chanel couture SS14. But surly a Chanel handbag being used as a replacement for a paper bag is just as provocative as a hip hop vixen transforming into a refined first lady? At least I think so…
Loved this editorial, especially using Nicki Minaj and the housewife aesthetic. Why not put your sandwiches in a Chanel bag? Sure you have to respect the product and it’s craftsmanship, but ultimately a bag is just a vessel.
