Winter Warmer

It’s wet, it’s cold and it’s wild… It’s London. Having grown up in the tropical region of north eastern Australia, I never really had to put much thought behind what I was going to wear. Australia’s weather is pretty flat, you get hot days and you get warm days. There is nothing really else to know. But since moving to London I have really had to educate myself on how to ‘multi task dress’… Basically wearing items or layers that can serve the purpose of keeping you warm and dry without looking like you are about to climb a mountain.

Charlotte Simone ScarfOne of my favourite British finds has to be British based brand Charlotte Simone. Launched in 2011 by Charlotte Beecham and inspired by the effortless style of Parisians and their ability to craft an outfit around a single accessory, Charlotte has reinvented the humble accessory into a must have fashion item. And while you might be familiar with her more popular styles like the popsicle and the fur lined hood, I have a real soft spot for the rabbit fur patch scarf on cold London days. Warm, practical and eye grabbing, it does exactly what it says on the label – it pulls an entire outfit together.
