When I look back at my journey (sorry Anna) in fashion, its start can be pinpointed to two designers – Donatella Versace and John Galliano. Two different designers with two different aesthetics, one sexual and the other sensual. But they both designed for themselves and always stuck to it – never bowing to trends. And after being absent from fashion since 2011, I have sorely missed the creative genius of the former Christian Dior creative director. But thank God that John Galliano is back.
Announced in September last year that he was to take on the creative role for the enigmatic 20 year old label Maison Martin Margiela, John Galliano is finally returning to fashion. Known for its minimal logoing, stark white palettes and mysterious founding designer, it stands as a complete contrast against its rival luxury brands like Gucci, Armani and Louis Vuitton who are know for their high profiled designers and love our repetitive logos. And what could be a better haven for Galliano then a brand that shares his love sensuality and mystery?
So while Galliano hasn’t presented his first menswear collection yet for the newly named Maison Margiela, the SS15 collection already has my attention (and my wallet), particularly the towelling and cotton blend pieces like this side split grey knit with its lightweight yet thick textured fabric. When something is already this good, imagine what could happen with the greatness of Galliano added… I guess we will have to wait till AW16.

Love the oversized sweater! The cutouts add a so much character to the overall look and of course the Celine sunnies look great on you! Hope you’ve been well. Xx
LOLing at ‘journey’. On a more serious note, totally love this jumper – the longer length hem and texture does it for me.
