I like to think I’m a spiritual person, so when Kanye West declared ‘I Am a God’, I had to agree and praise him for what he is, a genius of design, music and art. Even if you aren’t a fan of one of the many pies he has his fingers in (mine is Kim Kardashian), you have to admire him for being a magnet for all things creative. As someone who has always admired Mr West’s style and creative processes, I literally cannot wait to enter the temple of Yeezy Season 1 – his collaboration with Adidas Originals.
But until that collection hits the stores and my credit cards have recuperated from their SS15 assault, I’ll just have to make do with individual pieces I have in the closet to achieve the vibe – ripped jeans, longline knits, strategically placed flannel shirts, and oversized shiny bomber jackets all topped off with a dash of Adidas. So on a recent road trip north, I couldn’t think of a better place to walk in God’s image than in York with its beautiful historic buildings and churches, like York Minster. I guess it’s true what they say, you can feel the presence of Yeezus everywhere.
