Whether it is a retrospective show (hello the MET) or a designer dedicating a collection, you have to have source of inspiration to be credible apparently. So while Nicolas Ghesquiere has Charlotte Gainsbourg and Riccardo Tisci has Mariacarla Boscano as their muses, I have places like my new obsession of St Luke’s Mews in Notting Hill. With its beautiful rows of muted coloured houses and cobblestone paths steeped in history, it’s hard to not be inspired and transfixed by its charms making it the perfect place for a black and ivory colour combo outfit to pop against. But that’s what a muse can do to you, so you just have to pay tribute to them.
