In life you have to rise to the occasion, you have to be prepared to take any and every risk and put your neck on the line no matter what anyone else thinks. For me that applies to the iconic rollneck knit. Too long has its association with dowdiness prevented it from breaking out as a trend even though countless designers like Prada, Versace and J.W.Anderson have all shown appreciation for it over the last few seasons. But still we don’t seem to be going that extra inch and adorning it even though our favourite designers have been putting a contemporary twist on it. But not me, I love a rollneck and the romanticism it evokes, in fact I’ve been waiting since last Winter for the chance to wear this Reiss sale find – and we all know there is nothing worse than when you are in the mood for a little neck action and you can’t rise to the occasion. So thank God that the weather is now turning cold and I can finally be knitted out, so why not try getting it up this season yourself and wear a rollneck.
