Making A Statement…

They say you are what you eat, perhaps this is true and how we should be defining ourselves but for all you know I couldn’t have eaten McDonalds (which I didn’t therefore I am not Moschino). But I personally think you are what you wear. It is the way we style a simple white shirt or navy trouser that really states who you are… Not how many times you eat kale last week.

While sometimes you get to show who you are through styling tricks and trends, other times you get to make a statement through a statement like a Gucci Bee, AMI Lemon or in this case a Maison Kitsuné luggage sticker printed shirt. Designed exclusively for Mr Porter, the French label founded by Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki have released their latest collection inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s animated film The Wind Rises. Splattered with 1920s designed luggage stickers that reference New York, Australia, London and Paris, what more of a statement would you want to make than international fashionisto? Life is short, too short intact so why go through life mumbling when you can go through it making a statement?
