After months of whispers, the worst kept secret in fashion has finally been confirmed – Raf Simons is officially now the chief creative officer at Calvin Klein. Since the iconic American designer sold Calvin Klein in 2003, the brand has struggled to find its feet in the fashion world although underwear, jeans, and fragrance have continued to dominate their markets with booming sales, the main fashion lines have struggled to secure the same credits and consumers as them. But this is where Belgium designs Raf Simons could shine like he has in the past at Christian Dior and Jil Sander much to the delight of critics and customers. By bringing in Raf to align all the different CK lines as well as advertising under one creative vision similar to when Calvin himself managed the brand, perhaps Calvin Klein can return back to its glory days. I guess we will just have to wait till the Fall 2017 season to see his first collection!
