As a child, I always hated the closing of Summer. The holidays are ending and that dreaded feeling arises of having to returning to school and the restrictions that it demands – school uniforms, rules and timed schedules… Fast forward to now and I’m the opposite. I love this time of year and the feeling that the change of season brings with it, as well as the fact that my wardrobe options expand from light summer outfits to sweatshirts and coats. And now that August has come to a close, it hardly feels like Summer should really be leaving us when it seems like the warm weather has only just arrived but like clock work nature itself knows that Autumn is upon us. The signs are all around, just the other day I was standing in a lavender field as the countdown of days till it was to be harvested reached single digits. If thats not signal enough that cooler weather is on the way, look no further than in the busy London streets as they start to be decorated in autumnal coloured leaves clogging drains and plastering footpaths. So here is your 5 minute warning, Summer is over London, it’s time to pack up your Summer wardrobe and get ready to head back to Winter.
