The say a picture is worth a thousand words so I’ll keep this short. For the last couple of years my life has simply been about one selfish pursuit – to find the perfect picture. I spend hours eyeballing the streets, snapping locations on Google Maps of potential backdrops and countless hours flipping between outfits and scenes in my head searching for that ultimate combination. It drives me nuts and keeps me awake. But that is who I am, I am a perfectionist always looking for that moment where everything just slots together effortlessly.
As someone who has been lucky enough to travel, I’ve had the opportunity to step outside of my bubble and perhaps get closer to that moment. And a few places have come close and actually taken my breathe away like Versailles in France, The Cairngorms in Scotland and most recently Venice in Italy. Picturesque just doesn’t even begin to describe these places. Their extraordinary and unbelievable characteristics are so extremely that they just end up looking fake like some Hollywood set.
And maybe that’s the best way to describe the beauty of Venice. It’s so beautiful it’s actually unbelievable. And perhaps that makes it the best backdrop for an abstract printed shirt from Marni. What better combination could one ask for such a loud shirt? But maybe thats enough words, it’s time to let the pictures do the talking.
