As an Australian native, I never grew up with Halloween. I just always thought of it as an American holiday where the young dress up for candy and the old dress up to attract the opposite sex… Little did I know how accurate my innocent mind was. So when I moved to London and found that it was also a British thing, I was sad to discover that I was past the socially acceptable age to knock on people’s doors crying trick or treat and receiving some sweets. Besides, they say tricks are for kids. So the treats must be for the adults? Either way I felt the best way to get into the seasonal spirit of all things spooky was to treat myself to a little something from the AW16 Gucci Ghost collection. A collaboration between street artist Trouble Andrew and Alessandro Michele that has resulted in a range of products emblazoned with the House’s double G logo in a graffiti graphic – resulting in unifying Gucci’s two cultures, the past with the contemporary. I happen to think it is scarily good!
