If I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. I did not wake up like this. While I’ll never actually confess to the lengths I actually go to for the pursuit of youth (there are just too many bottles, jars and tubes to mention), I will admit to my morning routine. They say cleanliness is next to godliness, so therefore the cleaner you are the more of a God you are… Right? Either way, I have a grooming routine that keeps me feel refreshed and ready for the day regardless of what sins I’ve committed the night before. Here is what leaves me feeling godly.
Shave – The Panasonic GB80, as someone with sensitive skin, I can’t bare to put it through the daily torture of a razor blade, it just leaves my skin to red and irritated. So I’ve using a beard trimmer for the last 5 years and I have to say this Panasonic is the best performing one I’ve ever used. Washable, light and able to achieve a close shave, this has to be one of my biggest skin care recommendations.
Moisturising Serum – The Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum is perfect for quenching thirsty skin multiple layers down, it leaves skin feel soft and supple and boosts overall radiance.
La Prairie – BONUS – Now I don’t use this every day but at least 3 times a week – La Prairie Skin Caviar actually makes your skin feel as soft as butter yet firm and is a perfect pick up when you have a really dry skin and a dull complexion (pretty much any time after flying).
Eye roll – If I had to have just one grooming thing for the rest of my life, it has to be my Clinique Cooling Eye Gel. Sometimes I use it twice a day or before a night out as it really does help to reduce and refresh puffy swollen eyes bringing them back to life.
Dark Spot Corrector – As a youth in Australia I really ignored any advice about skincare and the impact the sun has on the skin leaving me unprotected against the elements and UV rays. But Clinique’s Dark Spot Corrector feels like it is helping to repair what damage I’ve done in the past and creating an even skin tone.
Moisturiser – As someone who has a lot of allergies to natural ingredients, Clinique is a saviour to my grooming routine. And with added SPF21 in this moisturiser it gives me protection against any further damage the sun might do regardless of the weather!
Vitamins – I’m all about getting extra vitamins and minerals and love the range from Potion London. In fact, I use three of their pills including The Probiotics, Eat your Greens and The Collagen Boost.
Perfume – If I’m not wearing a Tom Ford scent, I’m most definitely in a Prada fragrance like this newest scent. Always light, clean and classic! I believe you should do the talking and not your fragrance.
Manicure Set – There really is nothing worse when you are being photographed all the time than filthy hands and finger nails. Equally would also be an unkept set which is why this one from Czech & Speake is perfect for traveling and displaying.
Caffeine – I’d be lying if I said my world didn’t revolve around caffeine. Whether it’s a Earl Grey tea or a Flat White, I’m always on the lookout for my next fix.
Great tips, Luke! Def gonna check these out, I had already ordered the Prada too!
