As 2016 starts to come to a close, I can’t help but look back on all the things I have done and achieved this year and how thankful I am for all of the opportunities I’ve been given. And I have to say, traveling might just be at the top of my thankful list, especially after my recent trip to Paris. Undeniably one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Paris is just a location I get sucked into again and again, while I’ve been so many times before, I still seem to wonder down a new path each time and find myself discovering something new and exciting. It is simply a city that never visually disappoints. As you walk down cobbled streets and avenues that a million different people have travelled down all before, it can be hard to find the path less travelled but to be honest, that is how I feel in life at the moment, if everyone is different and all doing different things, how easy is it to do something different to everyone else? Is there anything new left to do? How can you stand out from the crowd when everyone else is trying to do the same thing? Maybe that’s what 2017 will be all about for me, new experiences, new opportunities and new adventures. But for now as I walk the line between 2016 and 2017 and find myself in Colonnes de Buren at the Palais Royal wearing pretty much head to toe Paul Smith, I’m realising revisiting places, paths and outfits isn’t so bad when you get to do it this stylishly.
