They say you should dress for the job that you want. But what about for seasons? Can you dress for the one that you want? While I’ve stated before my unwavering dedication to Winter and all the layers of clothing options it offers (although I am sick to death or muddy splattered shoes and trousers), as someone who grew up in a subtropical paradise I have a natural connection with summery clothes. Bold blocked colours, oversized sunglasses, loose trousers and probably most of all one of my go to pieces in the warmer months, a boxy cut short sleeved reverse collared shirt. So even though we are in the final month of winter and it is currently 7 degrees outside, you wouldn’t know it from the rails of clothing in stores jammed with shorts, t-shirts and sandals that all conjure up memories of warmer times. The Spring/Summer collections are well and truly here, so why can’t I be? So here is to me dressing like Spring has arrived with this 3.1 Phillip Lim shirt I picked up from Harvey Nichols last week, even if I still have to cocoon up in a coat also from Phillip Lim, I’m going to be out there acting like the sun is here.
