Summer time or at least whatever we are calling this current weather in London of 19 degrees and rain, is apparently the perfect time for a summery cocktail. But that’s the funny thing about timings. What more can be pivotal to any moment in our lives than timing. From finding that shirt on sale in your size to bumping into long lost friends in a bar, it’s all about being in the right place at the right time, and in the right outfit of course. Well maybe thats how to explain the current climate, just because your clock or in my case a suave Paul Smith watch says that it’s the right time for blue skies and sunshine sadly doesn’t mean it’s going to be. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t time to have that cocktail or two… After all who’s counting?
Here is one of my favourites – Rosemary and Grapefruit Gin!
-Two shots of good gin – I use Portobello Road Gin
-100 mls of grapefruit juice – If you need the workout go fresh
-Sparkling Rosemary Water to fill glass
-Rosemary sprigs to garnish
-Grapefruit slices for bite
To make the cocktail mix gin and grapefruit juice over ice in a glass and stir. Top up the glass with sparkling Rosemary Water and finish with a sprig of rosemary and a grapefruit slice. Cheers!
