Maybe it’s the new year or maybe it’s just the simple fact I’ve gotten another year older but I feel like something has changed (besides the addition of a few more lines). As someone who lives their life with meticulous structure and planning, it can be hard to just go with he flow – and by that I mean when it comes to clothing. I love a pressed tailored trouser, a crisp shirt and a structured coat and find that the more the outfit constraints the more mentally comfortable I am. Which is probably a sign in itself that I need to relax a little.
So while on my recent travels around Sweden the other week I found myself in a climate that ranged from highs of 2 degrees to lows of minus 20 degrees and pretty much living out of a suitcase I decided it was the perfect place to relax and have a casual encounter.
Ditching my usual rules, I found myself reaching for sweatpants (albeit chic Our Legacy ones) and zip up sweatshirts (again a chic J.W.Anderson number) all topped off with the most insanely cozy and snug teddy bear coat from Saville Row tailor Richard James (can I please just live in it?). I don’t think the people of snowy Stockholm really knew how to digest my take on a causal outfit but I had fun and isn’t that what’s important, that I was happy? Who said a little casual fun was bad for you.
Alpaca teddy bear coat Richard James, zip top J.W.Anderson, sweatpants Our Legacy, trainers Common Projects, sunglasses Saint Laurent.
You look like you are incredibly comfortable and yet still so stylish!

But mostly comfortable, yeah?
