Cardigan Weather

Looking out the window as I write this I can see the snow finally starting to retreat after what feels lie the longest Winter in memory. But while I can’t say that the big freeze is officially over I can feel things starting to defrost. I can walk down the street in a straight line without having to zigzag around patches of black ice and I don’t have to wear smatterings of fur or down, but I do get to still have the pleasure of wearing knitwear. Always a fan of a roll neck and a firm believer in a chunky weave, I have to admit it has been a long time since I’ve been won over by a cardigan (not since my days when I was obsessed with looking like the Olsen Twins) but it seems as the weather changes so has my opinion on the humble design. Albeit all jazzed up for SS18 with panelled lines and a zip, Paul Smith delivers what I would call the modern cardigan. Sporty, edgy, youthful yet all the while avoiding anything gimmicky, this is definitely something I could see myself wearing from day to night and from work to the weekend. So although I’m over Winter, maybe the cooler weather could stay around a little longer just so I can get a few more wears still.

Zip up cardigan Paul Smith, rollneck ASOS, trousers Burberry, loafers Gucci, belt Salvatore Ferragamo, sunglasses Saint Laurent

You are too kind! But you definitely do need a cardigan like this!
